Reflection: Jesus gives all of His followers a clear
message in today’s Gospel reading: “Go
into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” God doesn’t ask us if we feel comfortable
doing this, or if we feel equipped to do this, or even if we want to do
this. If we desire to be recognized as “companions
of Jesus,” others must see the “boldness” within us as well. Let us all go out with the same mindset and
boldness as Peter and John, as “it is impossible for us not to speak about what
we have seen and heard.”
Reflection
for younger saints:
Jesus tells us all to go out and tell others about His life and His
teachings.

Discussion
Starters:
Younger saints: What does Jesus tell us all to do today? Does He ask this just of priests, or of all people? What special word do we use to describe telling others about God? (Evangelization).
Older saints: Reflect on your own lived experience of evangelization. Have you answered Jesus’ call? Why or why not? Do others see your boldness and recognize you as a follower of Christ?

Fun
Fact: God is the
Supreme Being because He is above all of creation (St. Joseph’s Baltimore
Catechism No. 1, 2008, p. 17).
